Izaak Walton Inn

As one of Glacier National Park’s best-kept secrets…Izaak Walton Inn isn’t such a secret anymore. 

The historic and distinct Izaak Walton Inn provides an array of lodging options, recreational space, meeting and wedding venues and more in the backdrop of Glacier National Park. Located on hwy 2 in between West and East Glacier, the “Izaak” is a favorite among Flathead Beacon Productions staff.

Known for its historic railway roots, the lodge and overnight accomodations fit the railroad motif perfectly. Guests are welcome to stay in historic and restored cabooses! With amazing cuisine, a plethora of groomed XC ski trails and a scenic location, the Izaak doesn’t end there. This company also owns and operates the Halfway Hotel (just down the road from the Izaak) and the charming Eddy’s Cafe and Restaraunt inside of Glacier National Park at Apgar.

Flathead Beacon Productions began working with the the group at the Izaak Walton Inn to help hone in their messaging and spruce up their design on a range of products. From large scale billboards, to meeting collateral, print advertising, trade show booths and more. The challenge was to portray the historic nature of the three distinct properties and tell the unique story of each all through good design.

CHALLENGE

Update and creatively tell this company’s story through a variety of mediums using different mediums, voice and strong design.

SOLUTION

Develop a new creative look with updated and consistent messaging. Create design campaigns that are consistent across the varied mediums they use for marketing — print advertising, drive-by billboards, invites and trade show events.

IMPACT

The Izaak Walton Inn and its subsequent properties aren’t such a secret anymore! Using its natural differentiators and putting together collateral that is visible, clear and consistent makes this company stand alone in its offerings and service Glacier Park enthusiasts year-round.

REBRAND of the Halfway Hotel

The Halfway Hotel is physically close to the main product, the Izaak Walton Inn, yet differentiates completely on the demographic and ideal consumer.  We were challenged to rebrand this property so it could be recognizable and differentiated from the Izaak, yet recognizable on the highway as people drive by.
Here you’ll see our concepts below and eventually where the brand of the Halfway Hotel landed.

VARIOUS MARKETING MATERIALS

The management and marketing team with the Izaak and subsequent properties and businesses, travel to varied trade shows, travel shows, wedding shows and more to help promote their vast array of services and products. It was crucial that we created similar creative across all mediums to ensure consistency to help support brand awareness to the consumer.

Billboards

This group uses billboard advertising to help portray their message to locals and visitors alike. Across the valley, the Izaak’s message for the Izaak, Eddie’s Cafe and The Halfway are visible — with a clear, concise message, strong imagery and compelling copy.

Print Collateral

Across virtually all mediums of print, Flathead Beacon Productions help(s) the Izaak Walton Inn clearly communicate upcoming events, hotel specials, holiday parties and so much more!
